I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience of working in mental health.
My specialism is in working with adults with difficulties ranging from mild to the more complex, including:
I also have extensive experience working with carers of people living with mental and physical health problems, and dementia.
I have worked directly as a Clinical Psychologist with people living with Dementia.
Being a trained Cognitive Analytic Therapist and supervisor, I am especially interested in relational difficulties and the impact of early life experiences on current difficulties and relationships.
As a clinical psychologist, I use a range of evidence-based therapies including:
I know that starting therapy can be daunting.
Great emphasis is placed on creating a genuine and supportive clinical relationship, creating the best foundations in which to make meaningful change.
I aim to offer a warm, non-judgemental space in which we can work collaboratively to develop a compassionate understanding of what has led to the difficulties you are having.
This shared understanding allows us to create a personalised treatment plan, which aims to help you make changes in order to improve your wellbeing and achieve your goals.
In my current NHS role, I work as a Principal Clinical Psychologist, leading the psychology provision for the service in which I work.
